Our Pekin ducks are pasture-raised by the Gunthorp family on their farm in LaGrange, IN. They are positively divine in flavor and texture and a true pleasure to eat... which is probably why these very same ducks are featured in award-winning restaurants in Chicago, Indianapolis, and across the Midwest (including Rick Bayless' Frontera Grill)!
These ducks are raised humanely on pasture along with several other animal species before being processed on-farm in a small-scale USDA-inspected processing facility. They are also offered non-GMO feed mix to supplement pasture grazing, and are not given antibiotics.
Average weight of each duck is between 5.75 and 6.5 lbs.
